Five year old Nayantara sat very upset in her little chair. Her grandfather was busy surfing the internet nearby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Suddenly, he heard her stern voice saying, \u201cDon\u2019t disturb me!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Taken aback, he replied politely, \u201cI am doing nothing that will disturb you. I am not even talking to you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI get disturbed\u201d, Nayantara replied, \u201cWhen nobody talks to me\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\nHow big a thought<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Thirteen year old Dattu was excited to learn his aunt had sent a cheque to his mother to buy Diwali gifts and presents for him and his younger brother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As his mother held the cheque in her hand, Dattu craned his neck to see the cheque. But the mother hid it, saying, \u201cIt is the thought that counts!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI know\u201d, Dattu replied, \u201cI just wanted to see how big the thought was!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\nHeaven or hell?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Seven year old Jayant\u2019s dog, Tommy, had been deaf and blind for years. But Jayant and his parents looked after him. As Tommy grew old, he became very sick and was about to die. Jayant\u2019s mother explained to him what is going to happen to Tommy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jayant asked, \u201cWould Tommy go to heaven?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mother said, \u201cYes. In heaven he will be healthy again and able to do his favourite thing, chasing squirrels.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jayant thought about it for a while and said, \u201cSo dog heaven must be same as squirrel hell!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grandmother said, \u201cNot this weekend Jayu, maybe next weekend. I am very tired. You know I am old and I get tired.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBut Grandma\u201d, Jayu protested, \u201cNext week you will be even older!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While going to school in the morning, seven year old Sheela found a puppy in the school playground. She liked it. So she telephoned her mother and asked, \u201cMom, can I bring it home?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mother said, \u201cIf it is still there when you return from school, we will see what we can do.\u201d Mother had assumed the dog will be gone by the time the school closes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At noon, Sheela walked into her home with the puppy cradled in her hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mom said, \u201cOh, the pup was still there?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOf course,\u201d Sheela replied. \u201cI tied it up.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four year old Tanuja and five year old Tanmay were playing outside. Suddenly, Tanuja came in crying. Between sobs, she said Tanmay hurt her feelings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tanmay in earshot, came around the corner and stated adamantly, \u201cI did not! I never touched her feelings.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His mother explained to him that he had passed his examination, so he was promoted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMy God! In that case our Kala teacher has failed. She is still in junior KG!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Six year old Dinesh was visiting his grandfather, who was in the hospital. Soon a nurse came to check his pulse. She held the patient\u2019s hand, and kept looking at the watch for 60 seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dinesh was watching the whole operation quietly. As soon as the nurse finished, he exclaimed, \u201cIt takes you an awful long time to tell the time!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
